Due to the pandemic, Malaysia has been left out of the entertainment industry for the last two years and in 2022, we are beginning to see the industry review again as many big artists and festivals are making their return.

But despite big names coming down, concert organizers have faced some pretty bad backlash due to the seating arrangements as well as poor audio quality from the concerts.

But aside from organizer issues, there had been some religious quarters who have been taking to social media calling out and questioning why concerts are allowed to take place.

Local preacher PU Syed had made headlines as he had said that concerts had brought no discernible benefit to any particular religion or race in Malaysia.

With Billie&rsquo;s concert now out of the way, the preacher had raised the topic of the Korean mega girl-group BLACKPINK who is <a href="https://myc.my/articles/1422/blackpink-will-be-back-in-malaysia">coming to Malaysia on March 2023</a>. Their concert as part of their BORN PINK World Tour was announced weeks before they had dropped their latest single, PINK VENOM which has gained 173 million views on YouTube.

PU Syed had taken to his Facebook to share his concerns regarding the group making an appearance not just in Malaysia but also in Ridyah and Abu Dhabi.

He criticized them for having the ability to quickly slip into Islamic countries and had described the girl-group as &lsquo;agents of Dajjal&rsquo; which is referred as a false messianic figure similar to Antichrist.
Aside from that, he had also shared a screenshot of a message from an undisclosed individual who states the decision to host the concert in Malaysia as a bid to distant the local youth from their religious beliefs.

&ldquo;The Malaysian government must prevent this group from stepping foot into Malaysia, or we will hold a demonstration to protest their arrival!&rdquo;
&ldquo;The safety of the faith and morals of Muslims must be protected.&rdquo; said the anonymous user.
To end the post, PU Syed had requested those who would like to attend entertainment events like this to go elsewhere like South Korea and not in Malaysia.
As of now, the preacher was only seen targeting BLACKPINK but we all have to remember, Malaysia is expected to have a line-up of stars coming down soon such as Justin Bieber, Russ, LANY, Jackson Wang and even the queen of K-pop herself, CL.
