<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This time, Edy helps a Foodpanda rider named Mohd. Khairudin or Khai, by giving him a bicycle after knowing that Khai has to travel kilos to deliver food from one place to another by foot. Yes, you heard us right. By foot. Walking. Without any transportation, unless the distance is not walkable then he takes a Grab ride to deliver the food to the customer&rsquo;s home.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">He posted it on his TikTok account which has gained more like 36K likes and thousands of positive reactions from netizens.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Khai became famous after one of his customers recorded a video of Khai delivering their food from the restaurant to the hotel they are staying at, which was located around 6-7 kilometers away.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After getting notified by the netizens, Edy made the initiative to find Khai and tried to reach him. After a week of searching, he finally managed to get in contact with Khai.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Edy finally meets Khai and had a talk with him before he gives the bike as a surprise. Edy stated in his TikTok video that Khai uses Foodpanda service as his main livelihood. He always spares some money to send to his family in Semporna while he lives in an RM380 rental room in Kota Kinabalu.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The whole scene was so wholesome! After Khai saw the bike, he burst into tears and thanked Edy a lot because of the bike he gave him. However, Edy asked Khai if he had a driver's license before they even met because he wanted to give him a motorbike as a gift.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@kinnnn_">@kinnnn</a> had carefully planned out the return of her little brother and wanted to surprise their parents. With that, her little brother had disguised himself as a delivery man with a facemask who was set to deliver a box of cake to their home.</p>
<p>The idea was that the &ldquo;delivery man&rdquo; was sending a cake to the family in conjunction with Ramadan while he was away in New Zealand. He was later invited into the house and handed the cake and the family requested him to help record a thank you wish that was meant to be sent to him.</p>

<p>During the thank you speech, their mother started crying as she couldn&rsquo;t contain her sadness as she really missed him. Before the big reveal, the delivery man was about to take a selfie with the entire family and the sister had asked him to remove his helmet for a better photo.</p>
<p>Little that their parents realise, it was him all along under the helmet and their parents received a heart-warming surprise and burst into tears as soon as they saw who was under the helmet. Throughout the video, the father was fully composed but was later drowned in emotions as they got together for a group hug.</p>

In the past few months, we have been honoured to collaborate with Good Virtues Co. and with UiTM students by exclusively offering them a platform to present their innovative Do Good ideas, with a chance to win a substantial cash prize of RM30,000.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our journey took us to UiTM campuses across Malaysia, where we were impressed by the creativity and passion of over 7,000 entries. We faced the challenging task of narrowing down our selections, but we are proud to present the Top-9 teams who had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to our esteemed panel of judges.</span></p>

One of the most creative presentations we saw had to go to Amjad Aslam from UiTM Permatang Pauh as he had demonstrated his Do Good Idea while giving a haircut to a fellow competitor and friend Muhammad Haziq Rezzuan from UiTM Bertam.</span></p>

<p>Ever since Ismail Sabri lost the re-election, he had to step down as the 9<sup>th</sup> Prime Minister of Malaysia and his son, Gaddafi Ismail Sabri or better known as Dafi, had shared how he had been in a negative state after many assumed that he was taking advantage of his fathers status to get what he wanted.</p>
<p>Recently, he spoke out on how his life had changed after his father had stepped down and that many of his friends and acquaintances have now distanced themselves from him. Despite the situation, he also spoke about how he&rsquo;s currently coping with the situation.</p>
<p>The 34-year-old first shared that the moment his father was no longer the Prime Minister, he&rsquo;d already expected that people in his life were going to disappear. He was aware that in the past, many only approached him due to his father being the Prime Minister and felt constantly pressured to reply to everyone in fear of being seen as arrogant.</p>
<p>Dafi recounted a time when individuals who he had not been in touch with for years had suddenly re-entered his life when his father was in power. Although pleased to reconnect with old friends, he was also disappointed that some of his associates had shamelessly asked him for help with their business proposals. Despite those associates, Dafi says he&rsquo;s thankful to his close friends who have supported him the whole way.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Lost Of Job Opportunities</strong></p>

<p>Aside from losing friends, Dafi had also lost a number of job opportunities after his father&rsquo;s resignation from the Prime Minister Post. &ldquo;Job offers still exist, but some were agreed upon and cancelled suddenly. They told me it was not happening, even though they were eager to offer it previously,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>As of now, Dafi says he doesn&rsquo;t want to overthink the situation and dwell on the past. To clarify, he nor his siblings had ever taken advantage of his father's political status to get what they want and neither of them ever wanted &ldquo;special treatment&rdquo; from it.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0505;"><em>Reality can be harsh at times, and I believe this serves as a wake-up call that not everyone in life is genuine. Nevertheless, we hope that Dafi will recover from his ordeal and that people will not exploit his family's past to gain advantages.</em></span></p>

Singer Dafi Faces Friendship And Career Setbacks After Father's PM Resignation

<p>Back on 1 April 2022, the borders between Malaysia and Singapore were finally reopened for fully vaccinated travellers, marking the end of the international travel ban since the pandemic began.</p>
<p>With Singaporeans crossing the border to Malaysia, it saw a slow but steady incline in our economy as things were returning to normal.</p>

<p><strong>Banned From Refuelling RON95</strong></p>

<p>Recently, a man was caught red-handed as he was filling his Singaporean-registered car with Ron95 in a petrol station in Johor Bahru. The incident was shared on SG Road Vigilante &ndash; SGTV Facebook group and got quite a lot of attention as it quickly gained 123K views and 759 comments at the time of writing this.</p>
<p>The video began with the man saying &ldquo;cannot ah&rdquo; as he places back the yellow RON95 nozzle back into the pump. The woman continued on stating that he cannot do the action he&rsquo;s done while in Malaysia.</p>
<p>This prompted the man to say &ldquo;even though I am Malaysian also cannot, uh?&rdquo;</p>
<p>The woman in the video then explained to the man stating that Singapore-registered vehicles are not allowed to refuel using RON95 petrol while in Malaysia. &ldquo;If you said you are Malaysian, you should know, you cannot fill up the petrol using a Singapore car,&rdquo; she added.</p>
<p><strong>Disobeying The Law Multiple Times</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">After retrieving his receipt, the man stated that while he was in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, the petrol stations he went to had allowed him to refuel his vehicle with RON95 with no other objections. He later walked away with no action being able to take upon him.</p>
<p>In fact, this isn&rsquo;t the first time that this has happened as in the past, the public had called out and shamed many Singaporeans for their selfish acts.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">As RON95 is heavily subsidised by the Malaysian government to ensure it&rsquo;s the cheapest grade of petrol available for Malaysians as it only costs RM2.05 per litre. The law states that only Malaysian registered vehicles are allowed to fuel up the petrol as the sale of petrol has been prohibited to foreign vehicles since August 2010.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, foreign-registered vehicles are only allowed to refuel with RON97 at RM3.35 per litre, RON100 at RM4.70 per litre or Shel V Power Racing at RM5.50 per litre.</p>
<p>Those guilty of breaking the law are liable to a fine of up to RM1 million or a jail sentence of not more than three years, or both in accordance with the Control of Supplies Act 1961. Petrol station operators meanwhile are liable to a fine of not more than RM2 million.</p>

<p>Recently, Twitter user @rafiquemuzhaffa tweeted about how he had killed time at a 3-minute-long traffic light by playing a game on the Tesla Model Y&rsquo;s screen. Now the best bit, instead of using a controller or touch controls to play the game, the video showed that he was playing the virtual go-kart game by using the steering wheel as the controller!</p>
<p>In fact, this feature isn&rsquo;t a 3<sup>rd</sup> party feature as it&rsquo;s actually called Arcade Mode in the vehicle.</p>

<p>Since it&rsquo;s something new to many, netizens on Twitter had asked Rafique what happens to the vehicle when he uses the steering wheel as the controller and if it could cause any long-term damage. In short, nothing will happen to the vehicle as once the Arcade Mode loads in, the car will no longer be controlling the tyres.</p>

<p>In the past, many looked at playing with the wheel could cause the car to spoil in the long run. This is true for older cars as they used shafts and hydraulics to help control them. In most modern vehicles nowadays, the steering wheel, as well as the accelerator, is now connected to a drive-by-wire system which eliminates the use of cables and hydraulics.</p>

M’sian Kills Time At Traffic Light By Playing A Game On His Tesla!

<p>Whenever we see animals whether it be our own cats or dogs or perhaps even a stray, we can&rsquo;t help saying how cute they are and how we&rsquo;d like to help them. If you pass by shop lots at times, you&rsquo;ll likely see a bowl of kibbles and water just for the strays so they won&rsquo;t go hungry.</p>

<p>Recently, netizens on social media have been left in an uproar after videos of officers from the Petaling Jaya City Council had allegedly assaulted a 69-year-old man who tried to protect his dogs from being captured.</p>
<p>The issue was raised by Facebook user <a href="https://www.facebook.com/rekhamorgan/posts/pfbid022TedwwoVmsuJuZUAbDSE7qt2GcjTZqZHtbyQnkxRAjcLkxBZmBTiNTTTEPWYtjfdl">Rekha Morgan</a> who claimed that she was on her way home when she stumbled upon the incident along Jalan 18/17 in Taman Kanagapuram at 8:55 pm.</p>

<p>As Reksha was driving by the area, she noticed that 6-7 enforcement officers were assaulting an old man. The post stated that the officers had threatened the man and also struck the senior citizens using an iron rod while trying to protect his dogs from being injured or captured.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I stepped out of my car to stop them from harassing him further and told them this is not the right way to carry out their duty and the officers responded &ldquo;kita government, memang begini kita buat kerja&rdquo;. &ldquo;Report polis la&rdquo;, said one of the officers.</p>
<p>After 5 minutes of explaining the situation to the elderly man, he had agreed to hand over 3 of his dogs one of them was a puppy. Reksha also explained that the officers had allegedly not shown any proof of identification nor copies of any reports that had been lodged against the elderly man and his dogs before the assault happened.</p>
<p><strong>CCTV Footage Exposes The Acts Of The MBPJ Officers</strong></p>
<p>In the CCTV footage from the scene, it showed the dogs running back to the man as they were being chased by the officers with the iron poles. Not knowing what was going to happen to the dogs, the elderly man had tried to protect them and was struck by one of the poles in the process.</p>

<p>It was noted that Rekha had seen the elderly man and his dogs in the area for years. From walking the dogs twice a day to keeping them well-fed and sheltered with his own expenses.</p>
<p>&ldquo;These dogs are harmless and even if mistakes were committed, physically or verbally abusing anyone in the name of power is a hard no. This is a classic example of power abuse in the name of duty. Hooligans in the name of government officers.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>Police Report Lodged Against MBPJ</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">According to The Star, the man was identified as Patrick Khoo and he has since lodged a police report over the incident and used the CCTV footage as evidence. He also noted that the dogs have all been vaccinated and neutered.</p>

<p>As the news of the incident broke out, Lee Chean Chung, who is the MP for Petaling Jaya, requested for a comprehensive and open inquiry to be carried out regarding the incident, as well as any possible violations of the code of conduct by the enforcement officers.</p>
<p>&ldquo;More fundamentally, we have to review the standard operating procedures when dealing with community cats and dogs. As mentioned by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Malaysia Madani concept requires us to treat animals respectfully and justly,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>He also confirmed that PJ residents are required to obtain a dog permit which needs to be renewed annually. Despite any possibilities of wrongdoing by Khoo, it should not have been a reason for officers to physically assault him.</p>

<p>The good thing is that many Malaysians out there all respect the OKU citizens and always offer a helping hand to them in any way possible to ensure that what they are doing can be done smoothly, especially if they are taking public transport.</p>

<p><strong>OKU Man Waits 1.5 Hours To Use OKU Toilet</strong></p>
<p>Recently, Daniel Lee who is a para-athlete advocate recorded an incident that he faced after needing to use the restroom at Pavilion KL.</p>

<p>He then knocked on the door 3-5 times to ensure that someone was inside and that&rsquo;s when he heard someone yell, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not done!&rdquo;.</p>
<p>Frustrated at the situation, Lee then contacted the mall's management and a staff member came to his aid. Shortly after, the man who had been hogging the OKU restroom came out and also attempted to shrug the issue off.</p>
<p><strong>The Man Was Allegedly Washing His Clothes</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Lee had confronted the man for hogging the OKU restroom for 1.5 hours and asked why did he do so. The latter answered that he had recently moved out and that he wanted to wash his clothes before his trip back to this home town.</p>
<p>He even gave the excuse stating that he only used the OKU restroom as he claimed that there had been no one using it and thought the people knocking on the door were the cleaners. Additionally, he did not want to use the normal restroom to wash his clothes.</p>
<p><strong>I&rsquo;m Not In A Wheelchair Like You</strong></p>
<p>When Lee requested for the man to wait till security arrives to assess the mall&rsquo;s policy regarding the issue, the man later got angry and tried to walk away.</p>

<p>He then proceeded to question the latter on why did he use the restroom thinking if he had any disabilities or if he was homeless and why he had used the OKU restroom.</p>
<p>In a rude manner, the man replied &ldquo;Of course, I don&rsquo;t have (any disabilities). I&rsquo;m not in a wheelchair like you&rdquo;. He later got more aggressive towards Lee and even told him to shut up. As the man lost his patience, he attempted to escape via the lift and eventually walked out of the shopping mall.</p>

<p><strong>Mixed Reactions Among Netizens Online</strong></p>
<p>As Lee did explain to the man that if there is a penalty for wrongfully using the disabled restroom, he would not pursue it further as he just wants it to be a stern reminder to the man. Lee also explains that the point of his post was not to shame the man but to help raise more awareness of the issues that are faced by the disabled community on a daily basis and hopes that more individuals would be more considerate in the future.</p>
<p>Yes, the man did apologise but no action would have been taken against him as Pavilion does not have any policies in place that could penalise or reprimand anyone who abuses the OKU restrooms.</p>
<p>Netizens reacted to a series of videos posted by Lee and despite having support for it, some also questioned why didn&rsquo;t Lee go to another OKU restroom instead of waiting for 1.5 hours. Some even condemned Lee for &ldquo;running the man&rsquo;s reputation&rdquo;.</p>

<p><em>I do agree with Lee that the man shouldn&rsquo;t have done that in the first place and I do hope that lawmakers would not close one eye on issues like this in the future and would amend the law to have appropriate action to individuals who do such acts.</em></p>

<p>It&rsquo;s the Ramadan season and this marks the month when Muslims worldwide start fasting. Over the past few months, Malaysians all understand that we&rsquo;ve been hit with inflation and it's been difficult for many to afford basic needs, especially when it comes to meals.</p>
<p>Due to that, many Malaysians have opted to skip meals in order to save money. Even with the introduction of Menu Rahmah by the government, some restaurants have even had to forcefully stop serving it due to their losses.</p>

<p>Despite the inflation issue and hardships that many Malaysians face, this burger stall in Melaka has set the issue aside and offers free food to those in need.</p>

<p>Asip Burger Bachang had posted up a picture of a sign in front of their stall stating to customers who can&rsquo;t afford to purchase food, they encourage to let them know about their predicament.</p>
<p>&ldquo;If you don&rsquo;t have money to buy food, please tell us as there&rsquo;s no need to go hungry. We will give you a burger for free,&rdquo; read the sign.</p>

I remember when I used to manage a stall, every time when finding a spot, I ask the Malay people they will personally find a spot for you to set up your stall. Some even help u to carry the stock! <p>One thing to note is that the stall informed the public that during Ramadan, their stall will not be operating throughout Ramadan as they would like to take the opportunity to fast and return from work peacefully without having the need to rush to purchase goods and break fast with their family. They did promise that after the 7<sup>th</sup> day of Hari Raya, they will resume operations as usual.</p>
