Do you ever find yourself caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, only to look around and realize that your friends are out having fun without you? That's the feeling of FOMO or the fear of missing out. But what if we told you that you could turn this feeling into an opportunity to promote wellness and mental health?
That's the goal of the #NoFOMO Social Wellness Challenge, a short video competition launched by the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) and its 16 member companies. We're inviting young people to showcase their creativity and video content skills, focusing on the key elements of wellness: physical, emotional, and financial health.

Today, we're thrilled to join LIAM CEO, Mr. Mark O'Dell, along with Malaysian actor and singer Alvin Chong and Maggy Wang at Sunway University for the launch of the "R U OK?!" Podcast by Alvin Chong. The launch of the podcast is also part of helping support the #NoFOMOChallenge&nbsp;supported by LIAM, the Financial Education Network (FEN), and Universal Music Malaysia, and aims to raise awareness about mental health and promote social wellness among Malaysian youth.

R U OK?! is a new podcast hosted by Alvin, aimed at encouraging people to speak up. It covers a range of topics and doesn't shy away from controversial conversations. The podcast provides a safe space for everyone to express their opinions, with the host and guests offering contrasting perspectives. The name 'R U OK?!' is comforting, as it serves as a reminder that listeners are not alone and that it's okay not to be okay. In a world where people often hide their struggles, the podcast is a reminder to take care of oneself and loved ones.
Moreover, the podcast is a platform to encourage individuals to speak up and use their voices for good, emphasizing that no one should be afraid to do so. By doing this, it helps the younger generation to grasp the significance of mental health, which has been a major concern in the country.

During the podcast, Mr. Mark, a long-term resident of Malaysia, emphasized the importance of good financial well-being in achieving life goals, promoting freedom, and, most importantly, financial independence. LIAM has been running an internship program in collaboration with the Ministry of Education since 2016, providing young talents with opportunities to contribute to nation-building.
To add to the excitement, the audience was treated to the premiere of Episode 1 of Alvin's 'R U OK?!' podcast.

In an effort to further promote the importance of emotional wellness, Alvin himself got the crowd energized by participating in the #NoFOMOChallenge. He led the charge by completing a Smilfey Challenge, which showcased his commitment to maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
