Everyone knows the iconic Shibuya Crossing in Japan. Lot of people tend to do photoshoots, videos, and all sorts of stuff there. The crossing was also featured in The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift movie.

Due to the travel restrictions, looks like we&rsquo;ll have to wait a while till we can tick it off our bucket list but hey, we may have the next best thing. Well, a scaled down version but it&rsquo;s still something.
Most of you know there&rsquo;s one particularly busy intersection located between Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Bukit Bintang in downtown KL where you can find the iconic McDonalds which was spelt as Mekdi. That particular intersection has turned into a mini&ndash;Shibuya Crossing.

According to DBKL, they wanted to optimize the walkability of the high-traffic pedestrian area. As they made the intersection crossable from one corner to the other, it has provided pedestrians a greater convenience and improves road safety as well.
The traffic lights there will now stop all vehicles from all directions and will allow pedestrians to cross diagonally at the same time.

Not going to lie, I won&rsquo;t be surprised if my friends drag me along for car photoshoots on the particular intersection.
For those who did not know, in 2016 alone Shibuya Crossing was estimated to have 3,000 pedestrians cross the intersection and an estimate of 1.5 million people cross the intersection each week.

In fact, you can even watch a live feed of the popular crosswalk on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpdO5Kq3o7Y">YouTube</a>.
I guess a lot of us will be visiting the crosswalk when the situation calms down. But I do fear one thing, the traffic at Pavilion is going to be worse&hellip; Oh well.
