However, an elderly man on the opposite side of their car persisted in flashing his high beams and honking. Intrigued by the situation, her friend exited the car to inquire about the issue.
The situation quickly escalated as the man began shouting, using offensive language, and accusing her boyfriend of blinding him with the bright white lights of his car, which he claimed were on high beams.
Events took a dramatic turn when the man turned to violence. While the victim was on the phone with the police, reporting the threats he had received, the man slapped him multiple times and issued further threats of physical harm in future encounters.
Fined RM4,500 But Living In Fear With Difficulties On The Side
Following the incident, the perpetrator was captured by law enforcement on Jalan Prima Setapak, as reported by Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah, who serves in the Wangsa Maju police district. Subsequently, he received a fine of RM4,500, as he faced charges under the Penal Code Sections 323 (pertaining to intentional harm) and 427 (related to deliberate destruction), primarily due to the damage inflicted on the victims' mobile phones.
During the court proceedings, the man's attorney appealed for leniency, citing his role as the primary provider for his family and his responsibility for a child afflicted by heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

Nevertheless, in spite of the court's decision, the victim's girlfriend contends that the outcome was unjust, given that the assailant was not charged under Section 506, even though he explicitly issued threats, saying, "If you come to this area, I will beat you each time I see you," and alluded to calling for reinforcements.
Moreover, the incident exacted a considerable emotional and physical toll on the victims. The repeated slaps to their faces and necks have left them sleepless, and they currently grapple with fear regarding their potential return to campus, concerned about the looming threat of another attack.
Additionally, the victims face the challenge of eating due to swelling from their injuries and have completely avoided the Setapak area, primarily due to the menacing threat they received.

After more than a decade of dazzling performances with EXO and a string of solo hits under his belt, Baekhyun is finally embarking on his first-ever solo world tour &mdash; and it&rsquo;s one for the books. Who Is Baekhyun?
