In Mainland China, social media has been abuzz with a tale of revenge carried out by a wealthy woman in China against the staff of a luxury brand store.
Dubbed the "most satisfying act of revenge of the year," the woman, who felt slighted by the staff at a Louis Vuitton (LV) outlet, returned to the store two months later with 600,000 yuan (~RM368,091) in cash to make her point.
The woman who goes by the alias of &ldquo;xiaomayouren&rdquo; on Xiaohongshu shared a post where she recounted her "infuriating" experience at the StarLight Place shopping centre in Chongqing, southwestern China back in June.

During her initial visit, the woman, carrying a Hermes handbag, entered the LV store intending to buy clothes. However, the staff's cold and dismissive attitude left her feeling snubbed. They ignored her request for water, pointed her to outdated seasonal items when she was interested in the latest arrivals, and even rolled their eyes when she asked to see dresses in her size.
Feeling frustrated, she contacted the luxury brand's headquarters but received no response. After stewing over the incident for two months, she decided to return to the store with a large bag containing 600,000 yuan (~RM368,091), accompanied by her personal assistant and a friend.
They tried on several items and informed the sales staff that they intended to make a purchase. However, instead of completing the transaction, the woman handed over the bag of cash and let the staff spend two hours counting it. Once they finished, she coolly stated, "We don&rsquo;t want to buy now. We are leaving."

Chinese Netizens Showed Respect To The Woman Online
On Xiaohongshu, she shared, "Once they finished counting the money, I simply took it back and walked out. Why should I spend my money to boost their work performance?" Her story quickly went viral, garnering widespread praise from netizens and a flood of supportive comments on her post.

In the comments, many netizens expressed that they found the story&rsquo;s conclusion incredibly satisfying and thoroughly enjoyed it. Some questioned whether the shop assistants were wealthy themselves, wondering why they would roll their eyes at customers, speculating it might be because they&rsquo;re accustomed to dealing only with affluent clientele. However, one user shared a different perspective, noting that they had paid cash for luxury goods before and found the story hard to believe, pointing out that such stores typically use machines to count money and detect counterfeits.
At the time of writing, the China office of Louis Vuitton had not responded to requests for comment from the Post.
Incidents involving dismissive or rude behaviour from sales staff often capture the attention of Chinese social media both locally and abroad. In 2021, a woman in Zhejiang province reported being shooed away twice within 15 minutes by a luxury beauty store sales assistant while she was resting there. The woman felt insulted and discriminated against due to her casual attire and lack of makeup. After the story gained widespread attention, the store manager issued an apology.
The key takeaway here is the age-old wisdom: don&rsquo;t judge a book by its cover. But since this story is all about revenge, let&rsquo;s not forget that it&rsquo;s a dish best served cold. This serves as a reminder to us all that, regardless of someone&rsquo;s background, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and fairness.

A teenage girl from Johor has gone missing under distressing circumstances, prompting urgent calls for <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/594197920784057/permalink/2826033707600456/">public assistance</a>. The 15-year-old, known as Yi Xuan, vanished from her home in Batu Pahat on the morning of 28 April. Her family fears she may have been abducted by a man who previously took her away without explanation.
Early Morning Disappearance Raises Alarm

Her mother, Su Xingping (transliteration), reported that there had been no signs or arguments the day before that might have suggested Yi Xuan was planning to leave. The sudden nature of her disappearance has added to the family's anxiety, particularly given a troubling incident involving the same daughter just days earlier.
A Troubling Incident Just Days Before
On 23 April, five days before she went missing, Yi Xuan was unexpectedly picked up from school by an unfamiliar man. The family only found out through school authorities, who informed them that a Chinese man in a Proton Waja had collected her. The family had not authorised anyone to do so.
Fearing the worst, Su immediately lodged a police report. Fortunately, Yi Xuan returned home later that day unharmed &mdash; but refused to share where she had been taken or what had happened during her time away. The silence from the teenager left her family deeply unsettled.

&ldquo;He&rsquo;s in his 40s, but we don&rsquo;t have his real name, and we don&rsquo;t know what he does for a living. We hardly communicate with him. After the last time he picked up my daughter, I asked her what happened, but she just wouldn&rsquo;t say anything,&rdquo; said Su.
The family has no idea when &ldquo;Ah Long&rdquo; began contacting Yi Xuan or the nature of their relationship. The lack of transparency has only deepened fears that the teenager may have been manipulated or lured away.
Phones Switched Off and a Home Left Empty
After Yi Xuan&rsquo;s disappearance on 28 April, the family attempted to contact both her and &ldquo;Ah Long&rdquo; by phone. Neither responded, and both devices have remained switched off since. In desperation, Su went to &ldquo;Ah Long&rsquo;s&rdquo; known residence, only to find that the premises appeared abandoned.
&ldquo;My family and I have searched everywhere she usually goes &mdash; parks, caf&eacute;s, and hangouts she likes. We even received a tip that someone saw a girl matching her description in Yong Peng, and we rushed there, but so far we&rsquo;ve found nothing,&rdquo; said Su.
A Family Desperate for Answers
Yi Xuan&rsquo;s sudden silence, her connection to a mysterious older man, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance have left her family deeply worried and emotionally drained. Her mother expressed frustration over the lack of leads and the fear that something sinister may have happened.
&ldquo;She didn&rsquo;t leave any messages. No clues. She just vanished,&rdquo; Su said, holding back tears. &ldquo;We are so afraid for her. If anyone has seen her or knows anything, we just want her home safe.&rdquo;
Police Reports Filed, Public Urged to Help
