&nbsp;If you&rsquo;re one to like alcohol, more specifically beer, trust me you&rsquo;ll probably want to try or even maybe avoid this drink when you&rsquo;re in Singapore.
&ldquo;NEWBrew&rdquo; is no ordinary beer out of Singapore and what get it standing out from the crowd. Unlike most beers, NEWBrew is made with recycled sewage!

You heard me. The beverage is a collaboration between the country&rsquo;s national water agency, PUB&lt; and local craft brewery Brewerkz. The drink was initially unveiled at a water conference back in 2018 and had finally gone on sale at Brewerkz outlets and supermarkets in April 2022.

A customer who purchased the beverage mentioned that he couldn&rsquo;t even tell that it was made out of toilet water. In fact, he even said he wouldn&rsquo;t mind having the drink in the fridge. &ldquo;I mean, it tastes just like beer, and I like beer&rdquo;.
How is this possible?

Since Singapore is a small country, many of their recourses are coming from recyclable items. NEWBrew uses NEWater which is a brand of water recycled from sewage water around the island. &nbsp;
The recycled water process has been going on since 2003 as it helps improve the island&rsquo;s water security. The whole purpose of introducing the beer is also to help educate Singaporeans on the importance of sustainable water use and recycling.
The idea first sparked when the world&rsquo;s supply of fresh water had been under stress as up to 2.7 billion people find water scarce for at least one month a year. But as time went by, the idea of recycling sewage water had been largely accepted to overcome the water crisis.
Did you know that other than Singapore, countries like Israel have also incorporated such methods and cities such as London and Los Angeles are slowly starting to do something similar.
Don&rsquo;t worry, the water you&rsquo;re drinking has gone through a tedious disinfecting process which involves ultraviolet light passing through the liquids advance membranes to remove the contaminant particles. Once the process is over, the out outcome is just purely water and water is a key essential towards the chemical reactions that happen when the beer is being brewed.

NEWBrew are not the only ones using recycled sewage for their beer but companies such as Nya Carnegie who are paired with Carlsberg and IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute are planning to launch a pilsner with purified sewage soon. In Canada, researchers from the University of Calgary and US Water Technology company Xylem are also in works of rolling out their very own version of a recycled sewage water beer.
Are people convinced that using recycled sewage is the way to go?

So far, not really. The thing with the stigma of thinking recycled sewage water still disgusts many people. A Singaporean student mentioned that there&rsquo;s many other beers around and he&rsquo;d rather pick something made out of normal water.
Meanwhile, others who had personally tried the beer themselves said that they wouldn&rsquo;t of even guessed that the beer was made out of recycled sewage water. They enjoyed the taste as it was refreshing and light which made it perfect for the tropical climate in Singapore.
If you&rsquo;re still in Singapore, you better be quick as the brewery expects the stocks to run out by the end of July as their first batch has completely been sold out. The brewer also says that they will assess the market response first before deciding if they&rsquo;ll make another batch of the beer.
At first thought, it sounds bad but when you really think of it, modern technology can definitely eliminate all the bacteria out of the sewage water and it&rsquo;s safe to consume. Like if it wasn&rsquo;t safe, people wouldn&rsquo;t have implemented it in the first place am I right?

These are the 4 common techniques that are used to brew coffee:&nbsp;

Originated from Italy, espresso is a form of coffee and brewing style. By steaming coffee grounds under the pressure of&nbsp; 900&ndash;1,000 kPa, a small amount of water can be produced, which will be consumed as espresso.&nbsp;
Known for its thickness and creaminess, it can be a foundational ingredient to make other coffee.
<h4> 2. Drip coffee</h4>

After you pour hot water into coffee grounds and let it drip through a funnel over a period of time, a cup of drip coffee is thus created.
What sets drip coffee and espresso apart is that the former contains coarse coffee grounds while the latter&rsquo;s coffee grounds are thin. Also, the time to prepare drip coffee is longer than that of espresso.&nbsp;

The infusion of oil, caffeine and sugar into the grounds will produce a sort of refreshing coffee without the acidic taste that can be induced by hot water. While cold ices can dilute the savour of coffee, cold brew coffee does not have this problem. This is why it is favoured amongst people who desire the strong taste of coffee but want it to be cold.&nbsp;
<h4>4. Nitro</h4>

Through this method, the coffee will be filled with some bubbles and become silky. The technique can also enhance the sweetness of coffee while reducing its acidity, making it easier to be digested.&nbsp;

If different brewing approaches can adjust the taste and texture of coffee to a small extent, then the ratio and ingredients are key to developing the diverse coffee making industry.

Recently, a netizen took to Twitter to complain about the airbags on a Proton X70 which did not deploy after being involved in a crash.

Due to the incident, many had raised questions about the quality of the car as it&rsquo;s still relatively new in the market. To be fair, the Proton X70 is one of the only Proton cars that is being imported from overseas. In 2019, the car was assembled in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China and was only brought for local assembly in Tanjung Malim in 2020. Currently, the car is also assembled in Karachi, Pakistan since the year 2021.
In the tweet, the car was seen by the roadside after hitting a divider and it the incident looks like it happened along the Karak highway heading towards Genting Sempah.
So, the question remains, should all airbags deploy in an accident?
A debate had sparked within the community online and many had given their opinions on why the airbags did not deploy.
From speculations of passengers not wearing their seatbelts to defective sensors on the car.

After looking at the image of the sensor placement and the condition of the vehicle after the accident, it may have been possible that the sensor did not register the impact as a severe accident. Typically, an accident below 25 kmph is considered as a non-severe accident and if the crumple zone of the car is not affected.
As of now, Proton has not released any statement on the viral incident but looks like we&rsquo;ll have to wait and see in the future.

Growing up, we get to know different types of people with different personalities. And if you are a driver, you can definitely see how different people drive on the road.
In the worst cases, some &lsquo;forgot&rsquo; to put their signals on when changing lanes, some just completely rush through red lights, and some speed up when driving through small roads.
Like.. ugh!
Believe it or not, this shows how different people deal with their emotions when their patience is tested. However, acknowledging differences does not mean that we have to tolerate it especially when it brings harm to other people.
Just like in the recent Facebook post that showed a man breaking a woman&rsquo;s car window, with a knife!

The video started with a woman showing how she was driving towards the intersection and the car in front of her stopped. The driver then came up by her window, getting mad at her and just poked through her window with a knife!
Like, the way that man showed up with a knife and wearing a glove was already fishy and scary to me. *goosebumps*
The man then continued to threaten and question her and deemed that the woman was being impatient. He said &ldquo;Why is your car going to the side?!&rdquo; The pregnant lady then replied &ldquo;Because I thought you were turning right!&rdquo;
Then the man continued to peek through the hole he poked and lectured her that she can&rsquo;t do that and just &lsquo;be patient.&rsquo; The woman was dumbfounded and continued to question him &lsquo;why&rsquo;.
Not long after, this man suddenly brought up whether she wanted to go to the police station, and of course, the pregnant woman didn&rsquo;t hesitate and insisted on settling there.

But the man had &lsquo;chickened out&rsquo; sometime after that, and told the woman that he didn't want to go to the police station.

Thank god, it was later reported and the&nbsp;middle-aged man was arrested by the police last Sunday.
And guess what, the Kelantan Police Chief, Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said that this man actually has 7 previous records with the police. Most of the records are related to drug offenses.
See? I told you something was fishy!
The Kelantan Police Chief also explained that this incident was a result of the honking he received from other cars, which was alleged by the mad man.
Like, duh&hellip; That still doesn&rsquo;t justify his actions of harming other people!
The man was then remanded for four days starting last Monday. The Chief said, the case is being investigated according to sections 506, 279 and 427 of the Penal Code for making threats and mischief.

The <a href="https://www.birmingham2022.com/">2022 Commonwealth Games ,</a> also commonly known as Birmingham 2022, is an international multi-sport event, where all members of the Commonwealth of Nations participate. The event is currently taking place in Birmingham, England, from 28th July until 8th August 2022, with the participation of an estimated &nbsp;5,054 athletes from the 72 Commonwealth nations.

What Happened?
On the morning of 31 July, &nbsp;a terrible cycling accident happened at the final lap of men&rsquo;s 15km qualifying race, leaving multiple riders and members of the audience with injuries.
The high-speed collision resulted in England&rsquo;s Matt Walls to be catapulted over the barriers, flying into the front two rows of the stands, where audience member Hugh Colvin was sitting with several family friends and his two children, aged five and seven.

Walls, who won omnium gold and madison silver for Team GB at last summer&rsquo;s Olympic games, was immediately taken to the hospital, along with two other riders: Isle of Man&rsquo;s Matt Bostock, and Canada&rsquo;s Derek Gee. &nbsp;
Two spectators were also taken away by paramedics, including a young girl who needed treatment for her minor injuries, and a man who unfortunately got covered in blood and had to be taken away in a wheelchair.
What Happened To The Family Involved?
24-year-old Walls, who has been discharged without any major injuries, had flown into the front row stands, where Hugh Colvin was seated, along with his kids and his close friends.&nbsp;
"It all happened so incredibly quickly at the speed the cyclists were going," Mr Colvin told <a href="http://bbc.com/sport/commonwealth-games/62416489.amp">BBC Sport</a>. "You can see the trajectory of the bike, it came through, grazed my daughter's shoulder, and one of the photos you can see we are obviously underneath the wheel.

Hugh&rsquo;s wife, Laura, who was not at the event that day said things could have gotten far much worse, as their young two children were extremely close to being seriously injured, or even killed.
"What has been quite hard for us to get our head around is being able to see from the photographs that were taken of the incident exactly how close this came to being a complete catastrophe," she said.

An earlier statement released by the organizers had stated that no members of the public needed any hospital treatment, which is untrue, as Colvin&rsquo;s friend is currently awaiting surgery for a serious arm injury, due to suffering a laceration to the bone. In other words, he suffered a really horrible wound, similar to a machete injury. Ouch!

As Joker was played by Joaquin Phoenix, he had won an Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of the character. Now with the 2nd movie being highly anticipated, the cast will be getting another super star as Lady Gaga will be joining in.

Lady Gaga will playing the role of Joker&rsquo;s long-time partner Harley Quinn who was previously played by Margot Robbie in the DCEU. &nbsp;
It was also rumoured that the film will incorporate a more musical element which could explain why Lady Gaga is in it. But when you think of it, the title of the movie will be &lsquo;Joker: Folie &agrave; Deux&rsquo; which literally translates to &ldquo;madness for two&rdquo;.
Initially, Joker was intended as a standalone film and it saw success in the box office and Academy Awards receiving 11 nominations including for Best Picture. It&rsquo;s no surprise why there will be a sequel to the movie.
As of now, Warner Bros. performance has been pretty bumpy.
Previously during Comic Con, Warner Bros. films had only announced Aquaman 2 and Black Adam.

As of now, the production of the sequel is due to kick off in December.
Now this is a film I can&rsquo;t wait to watch. But if it&rsquo;s going to be in a musical style, I wonder how many people would come to watch it. Guess we&rsquo;ll have to wait and find out.

Nippon Sushi is a locally-owned sushi outlet that is currently growing. With good reviews and contactless food distribution, there are more than 11 outlets in Malaysia at the moment.
Their newest outlet was launched last month in Penang and of course they wanted to promote it through social media.
In the means of trying to extend their promotion to the TikTok audiences, they made a promotional video featuring a TikTok influencer, CEO Batu.

But the problem was, the content.
So, the video started off by the influencer replying to a Japanese comment with some random Japanese brand and walking towards the cashier to show respect.
He then looked around and spotted a couple of friend were eating, CEO Batu then asked them if the food was tasty or not, and they answered with &ldquo;oiishii&rdquo;.
But the problem surfaced the moment he is shown trying the sushi himself, here, his eyes were taped to make it look more slanted than before.

QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd &ndash; franchise owner and operator of the two, announced that they had inked a multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola Malaysia.

Truth be told, we don&rsquo;t know the real answer to this. After a bit of checking online, most international outlets for KFC and Pizza Hut are still serving Pepsi on their menu except for Singapore who had signed up with Coca-Cola back in July 2022.

Back in May, Pepsi had also backed out from sponsoring the Super Bowl in the US which is dubbed as one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Not only that, they had also bowed out from the Super Bowl Halftime Show which normally feature some of the biggest names in Hollywood performing during the halftime game of the National Football League (NFL).
Looks like it&rsquo;s going to be difficult for us to tell our heads to say &ldquo;one coke please&rdquo; instead of asking for a Pepsi. In fact, I&rsquo;m just as sad cause there&rsquo;s no more Mountain Dew on the menu 😭

Remember the times where travelling was such a breeze as long as we had a valid passport and valid visa approvals from the countries we are visiting? Yeah&hellip; good times&hellip;

But now with the endemic in place, many countries will require visitors to declare extra documentation and its mainly about their vaccination status. This is to ensure that those unvaccinated won&rsquo;t carrying the virus into the country and potentially putting it in danger of another lockdown.
Good news for those coming to Malaysia

Since we too are in the endemic stage, travellers coming into Malaysia from 1 August (today) will no longer be required to fill in the traveller&rsquo;s card in the MySejahtera mobile application.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin stated that the move was aimed towards simplifying the entry process. This had been highly thought out by the government as Malaysia&rsquo;s current health system is currently in a good and controlled level.
Now you may ask, what is the traveller&rsquo;s card?

The traveller&rsquo;s card is a feature built into MySejahtera as part of our contact tracing efforts as well as a &lsquo;passport&rsquo; for vaccination statuses. Those travellers entering Malaysia will be required to download, activate and register themselves via the app.
The app will then have the information of the traveller&rsquo;s passport number, citizenship, purpose of travel, place of departure, departure date and arrival time.
Although travellers don&rsquo;t need to fill up the details via MySejahtera now, Khairy did mention that the monitoring of traveller&rsquo;s health symptoms at all international entry points in Malaysia will be stepped up.
Here are a few of the restrictions:

<li>If the traveller has a fever or is unwell, they will be re-examined by the health department</li>
<li>If the traveller is suspected to have an infectious disease, they will be taken to the nearby health facility for further examination and treatment</li>
</ul>
This precaution is due to the rise in monkeypox cases as seen in our neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Thailand as they had already reported double digit cases with the patients being isolated and receiving further treatment.
&nbsp;Travellers are still advised to monitor their health status and comply with the country&rsquo;s SOPs.
Hopefully our government will say true to their monitoring of health statuses upon entering a country as time goes on. Some have also asked if we will ever see the time when we can finally take off our mask and return to normal? Guess it&rsquo;s gonna be a while till that decision is made.

Travellers No longer Require To Fill Traveller’s Card In MySejahtera

All along, food has been a sensitive issue to Malaysian people especially for the Muslims. As a Muslim, we have always been told to avoid purchasing food from non-muslim in case of it containing any non-halal ingredient in it.
However, as time has changed, foreign restaurants and convenience stores are now flooding Malaysia leaving people less skeptical.
These food chain usually have a good marketing strategies and create items and menus that cater to the big audience in Malaysia. In case if there are any non-halal items, they will label it and put it in on a specific shelf.
However, mistakes can be made&hellip;
Like this one Don Don Donki store was caught selling non-halal potato chips with an absence of the non-halal label. At worst the English translation of the ingredient seems to be lacking something important.
As pointed out by a Twitter user, Amal, said that this Karamucho potato chips actually contained pork but it was nowhere to be found in the English ingredient list.
He made a tweet and attached both the Japanese and English ingredient list at the back of the Karamucho packaging to compare.

In the same tweet, he also stated that this issue has been forwarded to the Ministry of Domestic trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) for them to take further action.

When Amal rechecked the label on his phone, he notices that chicken bouillon and gelatin was also not declared in the English translation sticker.
He said, "at this point, this seems more like deception than it is a mistake,"
Hmm&hellip; this is a big issue. If Amal didn&rsquo;t noticed this, can you imagine how many Muslim could have possibly consumed these chips by mistake?
Relatively, this issue will concern Muslim people, vegetarians and those who have allergies to the potential missing ingredients it has.
After receiving alot of pressure, Don Don Donki Malaysia responded.
They reached out to Amal on Instagram and said that "Action has been taken towards our supplier for missing out [on] this important information," "We will take every step to ensure this doesn't happen again in [the] future."
With that, the Karamucho potato chips were taken off from the previous shelf and labeled as non-halal products in the store.&nbsp;
Amal did share this response on twitter and reminded Malaysian again to always pay attention to the ingredients list before purchasing.
